Ok, I am going to try to blog again. It's been a long time.
I feel like I am wasting time. Like I should be doing a myriad of other things. And then I spend an hour on reading "friends'" status updates and commenting on them on Facebook and it seems just as pointless, or rather much more so.
I don't even know where to start... it's been so long. I have lost community and readers.
Small son has gone from a short fat baby toddler to a slim engaged preschooler. He was three in november and has been changing in leaps and bounds. It is astounding. I can imagine him in school now, whereas before he was in diapers.
He's totally toilet trained (wears cotton training pants), and when we finally got in to see the speech therapist, after waiting since April, she said he's now within the limits of normal. Somehow in the space of a couple weeks he went from monosyllabic mah, me and nehs to complete thoughts and mostly recognizable words.
Right now we have unwrapped christmas, rolled around in chocolate, presents and snow and have settled into days of no daycare or work, only to have the snow melt and I have to get back to work, even if it is my home office.
Weirdly enough, small son is thrilled that it is ten above (celcius), rained yesterday all day (melted two feet of snow), and the ground is covered with ice, slush and frigid puddles. His yellow newt suit, some good boots, a shovel and he is splashing around, body surfing on slick sidewalks. Mama is less happy, as all these people haven't picked up their dog shit in the last week, so the dogs are stepping in sodden poop which is spread allover in the melting snow, and turning the puddles into shit soup... all the better to bodysurf in I suppose. horrid.
OK, gotta go work. Maybe I'll keep up writing here, maybe not. I used to pour my guts out on the internet, and then realised it isn't so bright. Now I am conflicted what to reveal and what not to, do I put pictures or not... hard to say. I'll just wing it.
Weird "upgraded" interfaces don't help either. The typing on the screen is slower than my keyboard typing, and so I can't see what I've written til a sec or three later. And correcting mistakes is worse... for some reason, Typepad goes into hang for about three seconds before backspaceing to delete an error and type in the new correct character. Very slow and tedious. Yay for advanced technology. I have this problem (but worse) on Facebook since it is the "New" facebook.
OK, this is a pretty shit entry. sorry. But I wrote here. yay.
